It's time to admit it, you have no idea how to properly chop a chile.
When cutting peppers be sure to remove the seeds and inner membrane unless, of course, you love some extra heat!
To do so, cut the stem just as soon as the curvature meets the mass of the pepper. Then cut the pepper in half vertically and carefully remove the seeds and membrane. Removing the seeds will reduce the heat and allow for a nice, milder meal.
Always remember to wash your hands after cutting chiles, as the residue may irritate your skin or eyes.
